Creating „Range of Values“

  • Updated

In order to be able to select “Range of Values” when creating Technical Specifications, these must be created once.

It is recommended to use the same code for the “Range of Values” as for the corresponding Technical Specification.

The Data Type must be identical for the “Range of Values” to be created and the Technical Specification.

Searching for “Range of Values” will find the list below.

Example Creating a Range of Values for E-Motor-Manufacturer

  • The code of the Range of Values is entered in the "Code" field (max. 20 characters)
  • The description of the Range of Values is entered in the “Description” field (max. 50 characters)
  • The "Data type" field must be selected to match the desired Range of Values, otherwise no assignment can be made.

To define the Range of Values, the desired values must now be entered line by line.

Note:

  • The List of Values can be extended at any time
  • Subsequent changes to Range of Values have no effect on already created Data Sheets.

Assignment of a Range of Values to a Technical Specification

The following chapter explains how to create a Technical Specification. The just created Range of Values „E-Mot-Manufacturer“ for example can be assigned at the field “Range of Values Code”.
