Example Data Sheet Template – Electric Motor

  • The code of the Data Sheet Template is entered in the "Code" field (max. 20 characters)
  • The description of the Data Sheet Template is entered in the “Description” field (max. 50 characters)

Subsequently, the Technical Specifications are recorded:

  • The Technical Specification „E-MOT-POWER“ was previously defined as "electric motor power in kW".
  • For the Technical Specification „E-MOT-MANUFACTURER“ a Range of Values with Motor Manufacturers was previously defined, which can now be used to make a selection in the drill-down menu.
  • The "Default value" column allows to define a default that will be preset when assigning the Data Sheet Template to a Technical Object in the Data Sheet.

Assigning Data Sheet Templates to Technical Objects

In the master data card pages of Component Address, Mounting Position, Vehicles and Technical Components, the „Data Sheet Template” field allows to assign a Data Sheet Template.

After assigning the template, the data Sheet of the respective Object is preset.

Example Technical Component - Lift

Note:

  • maintool supports the assignment of several data sheet templates one after the other to a technical object. As soon as a new data sheet template is selected and the field "Data Sheet Template" is left, it must be decided whether the existing data sheet lines should be deleted. Clicking on "No" expands the content of the data sheet with each assignment of a new data sheet template.
  • A change in the data sheet template does not affect already referenced data sheets on technical objects.
  • Data sheet entries can be added or changed even without selecting a data sheet template.
  • Subsequent changes to the data sheet template have no effect on data sheets that have already been created. It is therefore recommended to define templates as completely as possible or as extensively as possible right at the beginning, so that (if known) future requirements can also be covered.
