After Setup of the Object Monitoring Template, the Technical Object (Component Address, Technical Component and Vehicle) must be linked to the Object Monitoring Template.
Examples:
- A Technical Component has a Hours of Operation Counter.
- A Vehicle has a Milage Indicator.
- A Technical Component has a Switching Counter.
- A Status is to be monitored of a Technical Component (“0” = “not in operation” and “1” = “In operation”)
In the following example, the object monitoring template "C4711" is to be linked with a technical object, here the technical component "Pump 123".
First, the Card Page of the technical component "Pump 123" must be opened. Clicking on "Process" and then "Monitoring lines" opens the list view of the object monitoring lines of the technical component.
List view “Object Monitoring Lines”:
- If one or more lines already exist here, the cursor can be placed in the line below and by clicking on “New” a new line will be inserted below the existing one.
- The code of the desired Object monitoring Template must be entered in the „Template Code“ field.
- When the Template Code is entered and the field is left by clicking “Enter” or “Tab”, a line Number is automatically assigned and the fields “Type of Monitoring” and “Description” are filled.
By clicking “Process” and then “Card” the card page of Object monitoring line 10000 of the technical object “Pump 123” is opened:
Card page of Object monitoring line 10000 of the technical object “Pump 123”:
The ultimate value of the counter reading must be entered in the “Counter” Tab:
The Assignment of the Object Monitoring Template “Counter 4711” to the Technical Component is completed.
The other Fields and Tabs are both for condition-dependent Appointments, e.g. Maintenance after 3000 operating hours and the inheritance of Counter Readings to subordinate Technical Components, as described in the following Chapter.
Inherit Counter Readings
It is possible to inherit Counter readings from a parent technical object after the subordinate technical object has also been linked to the object monitoring template, as described in the previous chapter.
The following three fields can be filled in the “Counter” Tab:
Field Name | Description / Information |
Inherit current Value of Type | The choices are:
|
Inherit current Value from No. | Selection of the Technical Object, from which the current Value is to be inherited. By clicking the “Assist“ Button, only lines of the object monitoring Template(s) will be displayed first, but these do not necessarily indicate, which technical component is involved. By clicking on “More option”, “Navigate” and then “Card”, one can navigate to the card view of the object monitoring template of the technical component, from which one can see which technical component it is. As a rule, the object monitoring template of the next higher technical object is displayed. After selecting the desired line, the code of the technical component is displayed. |
Inherit current Value from Row No. | Selection of the Line of the Object monitoring template of the Technical object, from which the current value is to be inherited. |
