Linking a Technical Object to Object Monitoring Template (Technical Facility Management)

  • Updated

After the Object Monitoring Template has been set up, the technical object (Component Address, Technical Component or vehicle) must be connected to the template before Performance Characteristics can be recorded.

Typical examples:

  • A Technical Component has an operating hours counter.
  • A vehicle has a mileage indicator.
  • A Component Address has a switching cycle counter.
  • A condition is to be monitored for a Technical Component ("0" = "Not in operation", "1" = "In operation").

Creating an Object Monitoring Line

In the following example, the Object Monitoring Template "Z4711" is connected to the Technical Component "Pump 4711". First, open the card view of the Technical Component. Click Monitoring to open the list view of the Object Monitoring Lines.

The additional fields and tabs are used to configure condition-based scheduling (e.g. maintenance after 3,000 operating hours) and to configure the inheritance of counter readings to subordinate Technical Components.

Inheriting Counter Readings

Counter readings can be inherited from a parent technical object to a subordinate one, provided both are connected to the same Object Monitoring Template. The configuration is done in the Counter tab of the Object Monitoring Line:
