The Time Schedule with Object Reference is usually used for recurring measures on technical objects, such as "a pressure vessel" or "all electrical equipment in production".

Opening a new Time Schedule

Clicking on „Time Schedule“ on the „Homepage“ below „Actions“:

Alternative:

After displaying the existing Time Schedules by clicking on „Time Schedules“, a new Time Schedule can then be opened by clicking in „New“.

 

Details Info Tab General

  • With „Enter“, „Tab“ or clicking into another field but „No.“, a new Time Schedule Number is automatically assigned to the new Time Schedule.
  • The fields are to be filled as completely as possible, especially the description fields.
  • At „Type“ „Object Monitoring Template“ must be selected, as a Time Schedule with Object Reference is to be created.

Adding Checklists, Texts or Comments

In the Time Schedule, „Comments” as well as Checklists, Instructions and Work Notices can be added by clicking on „More Options“, „Navigate“ „Time Schedule“ and then „Texts“.

The articles in the section Chekclists explain the procedure and are therefore recommended reading if checklists, instructions and work notices are to be used as a very practical part of Time Schedules.

 

Defining Time Schedule Object Monitoring Lines

As can be seen from the „Time Schedule Object Monitoring“ Info Box, no Object Monitoring Line is linked to this Time Schedule yet.

The linking of the Time Schedule with the technical object can be defined by clicking on „Process“ and „Object Monitoring Line“.

The Technical Object, which is to be linked to the Time Schedule, must be selected. The Options are:

  • Component Adresse
  • Mounting Position
  • Technical Component
No. Once the Type is selected, the Technical Object can be selected in the Drill-Down-Menu
Object Description If No. is selected, update with F5: the field will be filled automatically
Type of Monitoring Informative only
Description Will be copied from Time Schedule automatically and can be changed.
Status If the technical object has been shut down, sold or scrapped, for example, the "Deleted" status can be used. In case of temporary inactivity, the status "Blocked" can be used.
Set next Action at The Options are:
  • “Opening” (Date of work order creation is relevant for interval calculation)
  • “Execution” (Interval until next Deadline is calculated from status change to „Execution“)
  • “Report Finishing” (The interval until next deadline is recalculated only after the work order has been reported as finished)
  • „Completing“ (The interval until next deadline is recalculated only after the work order has been completed)
  • „Fixed Date“ (useful for dates, that should always be proposed on the same date, e.g. TÜV, test dates)
Time Slice Interval between appointments, e.g. 1M (1 Month), 1W (1 Week), …
Starting Date-Time Selection/Entry of the Starting Date (Day on which the activity last took place, e.g. "t" for today). If there is no real date here, in order to get a future date proposal, a calculated date in the past must be entered based on the selected time interval (formula: "desired due date minus time interval = start day to be entered").
Due Date Calculation Informative only ("Overdue" formula e.g. 1M (1 Month), …)
New Date Possible Informative only (Link to „Date Handlings“)
Last Action at Date-Time Informative only (Indication of the calculated last due Appointment)
Next Action at Date-Time

If the check of the calculated date by means of the field „Next Action at Date-Time“ has shown, that the date calculation is correct, see following Figure, the entry of the Time Schedule Monitoring Line for the technical object is completed.

If further technical components are to be linked to the Time Schedule, they can easily be added with further Time Schedule Object Monitoring Lines (see Chap. 8 and Figure 9: Time Schedule Object Monitoring Lines).

Additional Information

  • MAIN-TOOL assumes a 24/7 operation.
  • Individual Time Slices are possible for several Object Monitoring Lines.
  • When creating Object Monitoring Lines, the „Type“ field must first be filled in so that the Object Monitoring Line can be assigned to the Technical Object in question.
