On the Start screen, the three work areas 'Work', 'Inventory' and 'General' are displayed.
Depending on the operating system of the end device, further information is displayed in the header or footer. This is essentially the processing progress, the client, the time of the last update and whether data packets are available on the device for synchronization.
My Work Orders
Click on the "My work orders" tile to display a list of work orders for which the following conditions are met:
- The mobile user's resource is entered as the person responsible in the work order.
- The order status is "Execution" or "In progress".
By clicking on a work order, Work Order Information and Comments are displayed; in addition, further options can be displayed by clicking on the menu button (here: 3 horizontal dots in the footer of the order).
Order processing
Status changes
The processing of the order can be documented by changing the order status.
To change the status, click on the pencil icon and select a new status.
The following options are available for an order that is still in "Execution" status:
- Execution
- In progress
- Reported finished in mobile
Recording the start of work
You can also click on the "Work [Start]" button to record the start and end of order processing, which automatically generates a confirmation line that can be subsequently edited or deleted until it is transferred via synchronization.
Planning lines of the work order
Click on "Planning lines" to view any order planning lines already planned by the work preparation department, e.g. to find out about the required consumables.
By clicking on one of the lines, the "Generate Work Order Feedback" function can be used to automatically create a feedback with the information already stored.
Work Order Feedback
The feedback lines created with the previous functions can be viewed, edited or deleted in the "Feedback" menu of the work order menu, which can be opened by clicking on the menu button. There are 3 items to choose from in the "Feedback" menu:
- Item
- Resource
- Already added
Click on "Already added" to change or delete the feedback lines created using the function.
The input screen for the order confirmation of an article allows you to save the withdrawal of an article number from a storage location with a quantity specification. The field can be edited using the pencil symbol or, where available, by scanning a barcode (barcode symbol).
In order for items to be displayed in the mobile app, they must be marked accordingly in the item card in Business Central. To do this, the “Use in Mobile” toggle must be activated in the MAIN TOOL section on the item card.
The creation of a Work Order Feedback for a resource follows the same principle.
If several item or resource consumptions are to be reported, additional lines can be entered and saved accordingly.
Further Work Order Functions
By clicking on the menu button of the work order, the other functions of the work order can be displayed.
Technical Objects
Click on Technical objects to display the reference of the work order to the technical object(s).
Click on a displayed line to show information about the technical object:
- Details
- Datasheet
- Bill of Technical Component
- Checklist
- Location
- Object History
Details
Click on Details to display a selection of the technical object's master data.
Data sheet
Click on Data sheet to display any stored technical data.
Checklist
Click on Checklist to display any checklist stored for the order, which can consist of individual catalog lines that can in turn be edited individually.
A result can be entered, whereby defined response value ranges can be set up. The "Finished" column is only used to indicate whether the checklist has already been completed and an entry is therefore no longer required.
Object History
If the synchronization of historical data for the "Maintenance" app type with a definable time period has been activated in Mobile Setup, maintenance-relevant documents relating to the technical object can be viewed here.
Pictures
If photos are to be saved during order processing and stored in the order, an image description can be entered in the "Description" field and a photo can be taken with the camera of the mobile device by clicking on the camera symbol. The image is saved and can then be opened, edited or deleted. It is possible to save any number of images. After synchronization of the order, these are displayed in the "Order facts" of the order.
Signature
The MAIN-TOOL Mobile app allows you to save the processor's signature on the work order and display it in the "Work Order Facts" in BC after synchronization.
As with the photos, a description is first created and then the signature can be created, deleted or saved in a corresponding field.
History
Maintenance-relevant documents such as
- Work Orders
- Comments
- Posted Work Order Feedback
- Pictures
- Signatures
- Technical Objects
- Checklists
with reference to the same location of work can also be viewed directly from the work order if the synchronization of historical data for the app type "Maintenance" with a definable time period has been activated in the "Mobile Setup". If the "Service" app type is selected, corresponding sales documents with reference to the customer of the order are displayed.
The "historical" documents are indicated by a gray background.
Follow-Up Work Order
By clicking on "Create Follow-up Work Order", a follow-up work order can be created for the current order, described in the 3 description fields and then saved. Until synchronization, the created follow-up order can be displayed, changed or deleted in the menu of the same name for the relevant work order by clicking on "Already added".
Location of Work
If a work location has been defined in the work order, it can be displayed on a map.
An online map can be opened by clicking on the map symbol in the order.
