Clicking on the fourth tile "Data Gathering" in the work area allows you to record technical objects, provided the user does not correspond to the license type "Restricted user" and "Data Gathering" is activated.
The default object is the Technical Component, but Component Addresses, Mounting Positions and Vehicles can also be recorded. The mandatory fields include "Description" and, if applicable, "Barcode", provided that a corresponding check mark has been set in the "Mobile Setup" in BC.
A Data Sheet Template can be assigned to the technical object during entry. After completing the entries, the input screen can be closed by clicking on "Save" and locked for editing in the MAIN-TOOL Mobile app. The data is transferred to MAIN-TOOL during synchronization. However, it is not possible to edit the data sheet or assign the technical object in the system structure in the MAIN-TOOL Mobile app.
Technical Components
After the type selection "Technical Component", the fields
- „Classification“
- „Component Group“ and
- „Manufacturer“
can be entered manually or by clicking on the pencil icon.
It is also possible to store one or more pictures. To do this, first enter a description in the "Picture Description" field and click on the camera icon to take a picture with the camera of the mobile device. The image is saved with the description and can then be opened, edited or deleted. After synchronization, these can be displayed on the technical component in BC.
Vehicle
After the type selection "Vehicle", the fields
- „Beschreibung 2“
- „Licence No.“
- „Vehicle Identification No.“
- „Type of Vehicle“
- „Vehicle Model“
- "Vehicle Type"
- "Fuel Type"
can be entered manually or by clicking on the pencil icon.
Mounting Position and Component Address
The only difference between these two technical objects in terms of input options is the type selection required in each case. Apart from the "Description", "Barcode" and "Data Sheet Template" fields, there are no other input options.
