Installation via AppSource
To install the MAIN-TOOL mobile app, navigate to the Microsoft AppSource apps in BC and search for "MAIN-TOOL Maintenance Management Mobile" and click on "Install App".
This automatically installs the required Anveo Mobile App.
Anveo Setup Wizard - Initial Setup
After installation, the Anveo Setup Wizard can be started either via the Anveo Mobile App Setup or via the search in BC to perform the initial setup.
Please enter a unique Instance name. The instance name should include your company name and should be as short and concise as possible.
The Anveo instance is also used to assign Anveo licences. There is no need to store the Anveo licence manually. The licence is automatically activated by the Anveo instance.
In the next step, you can specify the Time Zone:
The use of the Anveo Mobile App requires the acceptance of the EULA for the Anveo Mobile App Extension and the Anveo Mobile App Cloud Service.
The Anveo Mobile App Cloud Service uses Microsoft's SOAP Web Service to communicate with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central Online. The web service URL and the default client are determined and entered automatically. However, it is possible that the web service URL is incorrect, so please check both entries.
To calculate the delta data, it is recommended to create a job that automatically determines the changes in the Dynamics data and sends them to the delta service on a regular basis.
This job is automatically started each time the Anveo users are synchronized. The automatic job minimizes the synchronization time significantly, since the data is always calculated in the meantime and not only at the time of synchronization.
Consent must be granted via the Microsoft Entra Application Card to allow Anveo access to the BC environment. This consent must be granted by the administrator.
Anveo Mobile App Setup
The latest MAIN-TOOL Mobile App is provided as an XML file via the File Download Center and must be imported in the "Anveo Mobile App Setup" by clicking on "Import/Export", "Import Anveo data...".
Note:
- When importing the MAIN-TOOL Mobile app, all existing functions, styles and configurations are overwritten.
- If the MAIN-TOOL Mobile App has already been customized, a backup can be created with "Export Anveo data...". It is recommended to deselect "Anveo Setup" and "User Synch. Package Assignment" from the available export options.
Synchronization Packages
To enable the user to synchronize quickly, only the data changes and not always all data are transferred between Dynamics and the Anveo Mobile App.
In the Anveo Mobile App on the mobile device, only the data defined by the Anveo synchronization packages and the Delta Service Setup is available.
Data defined in synchronization packages must also be present in the Delta Service Setup, otherwise they will not be transferred to the device. Setting up the data in only one place will result in them not being displayed in the Anveo Mobile App.
Search for “Anveo Synchronization Packages” to view and activate the synchronization packages that are automatically stored when the MAIN-TOOL mobile app is imported. In addition to the packages marked with MAIN-TOOL, the package “#ANVPKG#0001#ANVPKG#” must be activated, as synchronization between BC and the MAIN-TOOL Mobile App is not possible without activated synchronization packages.
A company can be assigned to the synchronization packages, otherwise the respective package applies to all companies if no assignment is made.
Perform pending updates and confirm the addition of tables for Delta Service Setup.
After activating the Synchronization Packages, all required tables should be activated in the Anveo Delta Service Setup.
In the Anveo Mobile App Setup the License tab displays all parameters of the installed version and the license information.
You can install an automatic locking and unlocking of Anveo Pages in the setup on the Configuration tab. This can be helpful if you have more than one person responsible for setting up Anveo Pages. By enabling Auto Lock Anveo Page on unpublish, the current user automatically locks the Anveo Page by not publishing it. If you activate the option Auto Unlock Anveo Page on publish, the Anveo Page will be unlocked automatically when publishing.
