Setup: Mobile Setup (MAIN-TOOL)

The setup for the MAIN-TOOL Mobile App is an extension of the Anveo User, and general settings for the MAIN-TOOL Mobile App are also made here.

Search for "Mobile Setup" to open the menu for setting up general settings for the MAIN-TOOL Mobile app.

The following setup options are available:

Maximum image size in MB:
The maximum size in MB of the compressed file size of an image of a technical component that is to be synchronized to the MAIN-TOOL Mobile app.
Only 1 image can be synchronized for each technical component (activate "Use in Mobile" in technical component card in BC)

Note:
To reduce the synchronization time, it is recommended that you only mark images for "Use in Mobile" for the relevant technical components.

Background Synchronization:
Background synchronization can be activated here. Synchronization takes place automatically when you leave following pages by clicking on Save.

• a Fault and Defect Detection,
• a Data Gathering,
• an AdHoc Work Order,
• an Item Feedback,
• a Stock Transfer
• a Stock Receipt

Background synchronization is only started if

• no previously triggered synchronization is in progress,
• there is an Internet connection via WLAN or at least 3G.

Work type for time recording:
A work type can be defined here that is to be preset by default for automatic time recording on mobile devices in the "Work Type" field.

Work Order History:
By activating the "Work Order History enabled", you can specify whether a work order history should be displayed for a definable period of time (a duration must be specified in the "History Time Interval" field). The "historical" documents are related to the technical object of the work order if the "Maintenance" app type is selected or, accordingly, to the customer of the work order if the "Service" app type is selected.

Data Gathering and -Validation:
By activating the "Tech. Obj. Use Barcode", you can specify that barcodes are to be used to identify the technical object during "Fault and Defect Detection". The check is then carried out for the technical object using "Barcode", otherwise using the "No." field.

Please note that if the slider is activated, the specification of a barcode is a mandatory field when entering new technical objects.
