In maintool, various templates can be set up. This article describes the four template types and their relevant fields. Configuration is done via the Quick Search (Alt+Q) using the respective heading as the search term.
Data Sheet Templates
Data sheet templates structure the creation of data sheets for asset identifiers, installation locations, technical components, and vehicles. Standardized templates ensure that recorded data is comparable and searchable across the organization.
| Filter criteria such as asset identifier group, component group, class, type, and construction type can be stored in the data sheet template to narrow down the template selection accordingly. |
| Field | Description |
| Code | Name of the data sheet template |
| Description | Description of the data sheet template |
Object Monitoring Templates
Object monitoring templates are required for setting up condition-based maintenance. Templates can be created for counter-dependent, threshold-dependent, and wear-dependent maintenance activities.
| Example: If a maintenance task is to be scheduled based on an operating hours counter, a schedule must be created and an object monitoring line must be defined on the technical component. |
| Field | Description |
| Code | Name of the object monitoring template |
| Description | Description of the object monitoring template |
Technical Component Journal Templates
The technical component journal is used to record installations and removals, i.e., bindings and separations of components. The Standard journal is created automatically the first time the technical component journals are opened.
| Field | Description |
| Code | Name of the component journal template |
| Description | Description of the component journal template |
| No. Series | Number series for postings |
| Posting No. Series | Posting number series for postings |
| Source Code | Code for the source of the posting |
| Reason Code | Code for the reason of the posting |
Performance Data Journal Templates
The performance data journal is used to post operating hours, measured values, consumption data, or wear values. If postings are to be recorded separately by performance type, it is recommended to create corresponding templates. A standard journal is created automatically.
| Field | Description |
| Name | Name of the performance data journal template |
| Description | Description of the performance data journal template |
| Reason Code | Code for the reason of the performance entry |
| No. Series | Number series for postings |
| Posting No. Series | Posting number series for postings |
