In addition to using maintool in Business Central, a Mobile App is also available, providing access to key maintool functions on mobile devices.
Mobile App License Overview
Two license types are available for using the Mobile App:
| License | Description / Information |
| maintool mobile light user | Use of the Mobile App in online mode only. Offline use is not available. |
| maintool mobile full user | Use of the Mobile App in both online and offline mode. |
Relationship to Desktop License
An additional maintool Light User or Full User license is not required if the user works exclusively via the Mobile App and does not use maintool directly in Business Central. As soon as maintool functions are used directly in Business Central, a corresponding maintool desktop license (Light User or Full User) is required.
