For the creation of so-called checklists, which are grouped in the “Instructions”, individual “Checklist Tasks” are required, which must not be confused with the entries in the “Work Notice” List. This is because “Work Notices” are purely notes, with the aim of providing information without requesting or enabling feedback.
A “Checklist“ in MAIN-TOOL is therefore understood to be the compilation of one or more instructions, whereby the following functions can be applied:
- Providing information for the processing of work orders or maintenance
- In the course of reporting (a work order) as “Finished” with or without mandatory
- freely editable confirmation texts,
- answering of status queries with predefined Answers/Range of Values
- confirmation of defined Status like Counter Readings, Filling Levels, Display Values, etc. for performance characteristics recording at a technical component.
The difference between an instruction and a checklist is, that a checklist expects a return value.
A checklist can be incorporated into work plans, time schedules and work orders.
In order to report a work order “Finished”, any checklists stored in the work order must have been processed or confirmed (mandatory).
A distinction is made between the following types of checklists:
- „simple“ checklist of a defined data type without defined feedback range of values, e.g. for free text input,
- „simple“ checklist of a defined data type with defined feedback range of values, e.g. for the selection from a value list,
- „complex“ checklist of a defined data type with feedback value, e.g. measured value or counter reading (incl. performance data acquisition).
Depending on this, range of values or value lists must be created in advance. For the confirmation of values for performance data acquisition, one or more object monitoring lines must be created for the relevant technical component(s). This makes it possible, to trigger status-oriented follow-up activities or simply store performance data.
Work Order Management Setup Requirements
There are following requirements at the “Work Order Management Setup” in the info tab “Checklist” before the checklist is used:
