Basic Description of the General Procedure

Opening a Checklist Tasks

For the creation of a checklist so called checklist tasks must be created in the checklist tasks list first.

With search for „Checklist Tasks” the list can be opened:

Creating a Checklist Task

With click on „New“ a new list element is created:

Entry of a Checklist Task

The column headings of a checklist task line are:

Field Name Description / Information
No. Is filled automatically following to Number Series when leaving the field.
Text Text entry of the checklist task line (max. 80 characters). If a feedback is expected, it is recommended, to formulate a question.
Data Type

Only relevant at Checklist Tasks, that expect a feedback:

Definition, of which “Data Type” the expected feedback is.

The options are:

  • Text                 Text can be entered, e.g. Manufacturer Name,
  • Code                Text is displayed in uppercase,
  • Decimal           Decimal numbers possible, e.g. performance data,
  • Boolean           only „Yes“ or „No“ possible, e.g. „Power off?“,
  • Date                only Date possible, e.g. Date of Commissioning,
  • Time                only Time allowed, e.g. Test at „hh:mm“,
  • DateTime         Date + Time, e.g. Tested „TTMMYY hh:mm“
Range of Values Code

Only relevant for checklist tasks, that expect a feedback from a fixed range of values:

Selection “Range of Values Code”, that defines, which values can be responded.

Monitoring Template Code

Only relevant for checklist tasks, that expect a feedback to a Monitoring Template:

Selection „Monitoring Template Code“, to which a value is to be responded.

 

Range of Value Setup

To define a Range of Values, i.e. the options for a feedback, following specification must be made:

  • Code                Name of the new Range of Values
  • Description     Description of the new Range of Values
  • Data Type        Data Type of the Range of Values

Then the value range options must be entered, line by line for a fixed selection of values.

Following Figure shows the definition of a value range to respond school marks:

Opening an Instruction

An Instruction is then created in which the previously created checklist tasks are selected.

With a search for „Instructions“ the list of instructions can be opened:

With click on „New“ a new instruction can be created.

Instruction „General“ Info Tab

To define an instruction following specification must be made in the “General” info tab:

Code

Name of the new instruction.
Description Description of the new instruction.
Resource Skill Code:

Option to prescribe a resource skill for the processing of the instruction

First Textline as Description

Sliding field, takes the first line of the instruction as the description text.

 

Note:

  • It is recommended, to activate the sliding field „First Textline as Description“ and to write the Description of the instruction in the first line.

 

Instruction „Lines“ Info Tab

Following specification must be made in the “Lines” info tab

Instruction Type The choice is to leave the field blank or to select the "Position" option. The latter must be selected if a checklist task is to be selected.
Task No. The choice is, to leave the field blank or to select an existing checklist task.
Text An instruction text or checkliste text can be entered.
Mandatory Sliding field to define, that a checklist task expects a feedback. Is the sliding field activated, the checklist task must be defined.

 

With the function „Transfer to Task“ (see „Manage“), a new created text can be added as a Checklist Task.

Following Figure shows an instruction, that includes checklist tasks. All 3 tasks expect a feedback, see „Mandatory“ checkbox.

The Checklist „I-TS-AFC“ can now be added in an air filter change work order in the work order texts as “instruction”, the procedure to do so is explained in the examples.

Before the work order can be reported “Finished”, all 3 checklist tasks must be responded or confirmed in the work order.
