Performance Characteristic Entry refers to the posting of counter readings, measured values and condition values. The recorded data can be used for object monitoring – for example, when maintenance intervals are to be suggested based on counter values.
Performance Characteristics can be recorded for Component Addresses, Technical Components and vehicles, but not for Mounting Positions.
Types of Performance Characteristics
Before Performance Characteristics can be recorded, the type of data must be defined using an Object Monitoring Template. An unlimited number of Object Monitoring Templates can be created. The following types are available:
- Counter – e.g. operating hours counter, mileage indicator, switching cycle counter
- Threshold/Range – e.g. temperature ranges, conditions (0 / 1)
- Attrition/Consumption – e.g. oil consumption
Setup and Entry – Step by Step
Performance Characteristic Entry is carried out in three steps:
- Set up Object Monitoring Template – define the type of performance data
- Connect Technical Object to Object Monitoring Template – assign the template to a Component Address, Technical Component or vehicle
- Record and post Performance Characteristics – enter actual values in the Performance Characteristic Journal and post
