Object Monitoring Template Setup

The Object Monitoring Template defines the type of performance data to be recorded for a technical object. It is a prerequisite for Performance Characteristic Entry and must be set up before being assigned to a technical object.

Opening the List View

Use the "Tell Me" search (Alt+Q) for Object Monitoring Templates to open the list view.

Creating a New Template

Click New to create a new record and open the card view.

  • In the Code field, enter the code for the Object Monitoring Template (max. 10 characters).
  • In the Description field, enter a description (max. 50 characters).

In the Monitoring Type field, define the type of data to be used for monitoring:

  • Counter – e.g. operating hours, mileage, switching cycles
  • Threshold/Range – e.g. temperature ranges, conditions (0 / 1)
  • Attrition/Consumption – e.g. oil consumption
